About Us
We are dedicated to the highest quality of dance instruction. Students are carefully placed in the class that will be best suited to their individual and potential of advancement.
Terpsichore was established in the summer of 1979. Classes were held in the Knights of Columbus in Monroe. That autumn, classes were moved to the Grace Episcopal Church. Two years later we expanded to a second location at the Monroe Methodist Church. In 1990, we moved to Route 17M in Harriman.
Currently, Terpsichore has moved to our new home at 74 Millpond Parkway, centrally located in the heart of the village of Monroe.
We have 3 large studios with state-of-the-art sprung dance floors and a smaller practice studio. We have a large waiting room and office. We have our own retail store - To The Pointe, to fill all your dance wear needs.
We offer classes in Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Lyrical, Modern. Students can begin as young as 2 1/2 in our parent-toddler class and we offer classes to adult as well. Students are carefully placed in the class that will be best suited to their individual and potential.
