Community Events

At Terpsichore, we believe that we are more that just a studio or teachers -  we are part of the Monroe- Woodbury Community.  We feel that Dance is more than just technique.  We feel that our students are part of our larger family.

Here are a few community events that we participate in..

Monroe's Annual Cheese Festival
Terpsichore had participated in the Village of Monroe's Annual Cheese Festival for many years.  Our Studio will be open to observe classes, and we will have demonstration classes open to all.  See More...

Other Community Events
We believe in giving back.  We have participated in
DANCIN' TO WIN - a local Breast cancer benefit
A CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS - a benefit for the Truth365 to raise money and awareness to Pediatric Cancer Research.
PIE IN THE FACE CHALLENGE - supporting Monroe Pediatrics in an effort to raise money for pediatric cancer research.

DANCIN FOR OUR CHILDREN - workshop and performance with broadway dance professionals to raise money for The Creative Arts Therapy Program at Hackensack Children’s Hospital.  This effort was inspired by our very own Julianna.

Terpsichore was established in the summer of 1979. Classes were held in the Knights of Columbus in Monroe. That autumn, classes were moved to the Grace Episcopal Church. Two years later we expanded to a second location at the Monroe Methodist Church. In 1990, we moved to Route 17M in Harriman
In 2012, Terpsichore moved to our new home at 74 Millpond Parkway, centrally located in the heart of the village of Monroe.  We have 3 large studios with state-of-the-art sprung dance floors and a smaller practice studio.  We have a large waiting room and office.
